About an hour ago a fledgling House Finch flew into the side of my house and down fluttered in front of the sliding door. Fortunately the door was closed because the AC is running. I closed the Doggie Door and the dogs just sat looking through the glass. After a while the bird moved out of sight beside the door. After about 15 minutes I inched the door open enough to stick my head out while blocking the dogs with my feet. The little guy fluttered about 8 feet and landed on the rim of the pool. As I was thinking "Turn around before you try to fly off. It tried and went into the water about 5 feet out. Floating with its wings spread and head up. I grabbed a small dip net and slide it under the fledgling and lifted it out and placed in on top of a large roll-around trash can in the sun to dry off and where Mom and Dad could see it. After about 15 minutes I slipped out to take a picture or two and it was asleep. Then 30 more minutes and it is awake and looking around, took another picture. Everybody is closed now but tomorrow I will call if the little guy has not flown off. My wife says if I don't see the parents coming around by sundown to put two little containers one of seeds and dried meal worms and one of water in a box and put the bird in it in the house and call a rescue place tomorrow.

Both shots, cropped, DeNoise AI and signature added, otherwise as out of camera.
Just checked, bird poop on the net in two places where the fledgling wasn't and it is gone - hopefully Mom and Dad came and got it to flutter off.
Hopefully, it is concussed and will recover.
Nice shots, hope it gets OK!!!!!

Yeah he rang his little gong real good. Hopefully he now understands you can't fly through a house.
