That's what I liked about this video. I had never seen Mary Ford playing guitar so this was a surprise. While Les Paul was good in his own way he would not make most peoples top guitarists list. He does have his place in history. Just like the way photographers "layer" photos, he was an early practitioner of "layering" music.

I like many styles and many stylists mentioned in above comments. In particular I will mention Barney Kessel and Tony Mottola.

Thanks to all who have commented.

In essence, Les Paul developed multi-track tape recording. It’s the concept that makes modern music composition and recording so good and so much easier. Today we do it in software on computers (even tablets and smartphones) connected to analog-to-digital converters.

And when you list great jazz guitarists, don't forget Django Reinhardt.

His work with flutist, Jean-Pierre Rampal was exquisite!

Just not in the same class as those previously mentioned. Charo DID have other talents though, the combination of which made her stage career successful. She could sing, dance, and had an irrepressible personality.

I hadn't noticed that. I paid more attention to her playing style and stage presence.
Obviously Mary Ford is female also - and, IMHO, she is well above Charo's guitar capabilities.
I am happy you like Charo - and I appreciate her abilities, but IMHO she does not belong in this category.
Just my opinion.
