Where do I find how to make the WIFI settings show up in the menu. The book is not clear enough and it’s grayed out

I don't use WiFi for photography, but could not find a mode setting where it grayed out in the menu. If you enable network connection, network settings will open it you select its right arrow, and you can proceed from there.

I don't have a D750, and I don't use wifi on my D500 and D850. But I will suggest that you check and see if "Airplane Mode" might be enabled. It kills wifi, Bluetooth, and anything else that might produce a radio transmission.

As I said, I don't know. But the D500 and D850 do. It is accessed on about the third page of the Setup menu.

The wifi only works between the camera and the nikon app on your phone. You can use it to download pics from the camera or use the app as a remote.

I use wifi on 750/850/500 a lot and don't recall an on and off. What I have had happen is if the battery is low it will gray out and not let you access it. Also as some have pointed out its designed to talk to the Nikon app only.

I purchased my first camera new a d7100 from Abe's of Maine and was able to register it with Nikon. Check the serial number. What is the first 3 digits? I have learned since then about grey market

I am looking at my D750. In the setup menu (wrench icon) there is a WiFi selection just below location data.
Do you see that? Going right >Network connection ON OFF and then > Enable
Disable

If you do not see these items, I will have to defer to someone else.

FYI The Nikon WiFi app lets you see take photos and view photos, but is is not a big deal. I use it to quickly upload pics to my wife's phone...

Check your battery level. If the battery is below a certain level The option is not available.

If you have the wifi turned on in the camera you might have go in your settings (on the phone)and turn on the wifi for the camera. Hope this helps.
