Is the idea ridiculous? Maybe, but that is how much Eastern Oregon despises current Oregon politics. Making fun of the article makes no sense since the Epoch Times is just reporting on what happened in November, but have missed what has happened since then.

Here is a quote from the group that is trying to make it happen. Greater Idaho's goal would involve about three-quarters of Oregon's land area to become part of Idaho. It calls the situation a win-win for everyone in the state, saying the more urban northwest portion of the state "would be free of 'low-income, Trump-voting counties.'"

The counties that are voting to join Idaho all voted for Trump by a more than 70 percent margin. They are at least as conservative as Idaho and probably more so.

gorgehiker, did it ever occur to you that the epoch times article is largely correct. Their only mistake is that they left two counties out that probably took their vote after the epoch times had already written their article.
Who cares what the source is when it is accurate that several Oregon counties have voted to leave Oregon and join Idaho. Will it happen? I seriously doubt it, but when our county puts it on the ballot in the next election it will pass here too.

He posts the ratings. If they are rated as right leaning he posts that. If they are rated as left leaning, he posts that. The ratings in some cases are extremely accurate. Others I’m not familiar enough with to say.
