Thanks for the input. I am now researching in camera settings and post editing to help as while the GoPro does have filters available, these were shot while scuba diving requiring the underwater case for the GoPro. The camera would not fit in the case with the filter attached.
very nice, yes please keep the pics coming
I got a kit from Amazon for my husband's camera. The red filter fits just fine in the underwater casing.
For good colors underwater, a flash is essential. They are a bit pricey, but good used ones are available in Wetpixel.com and at times on eBay. Inon makes the best affordable underwater flashes.
Underwater photography is a challenge on many fronts, and quality uw photos are a bit hard to take. For example, uw photos will have good colors only when a flash is used. The reason is water absorbs long wavelengths, first all reds, then yellows, so green and blue dominate the photos. Sunlight penetrates the water only a few feet at best. For acceptable and good photos deeper than one meter, one must most always use an underwater flash. (How whale photographers get their amazing open water photos without a flash is a mystery to me.)
Inon makes the best affordable uw flashes. GoPro and the Olympus TG 3, 4, 5 & 6 are the best uw beginner (intermediate and advanced, as well) cameras. Good second hand ones can be found in Wetpixel.com, ReefPhoto.com and Backscatter.com, and at times eBay.

Thank you! Was the filter directly from GoPro or another manufacturer?
Yes...there is an underwater photography section already on this site as i understand it. I don't subscribe to it though.

Adding a few underwater diving photos using my GoPro Hero Black 9. Unsure if there is any interest in underwater photography on this site.

They make filters that fit OVER the go pro underwater case. Work well to about 50 then you almost have to switch to strobe lights. Check out backscatter.com. I have a set of the Flip filters and am pleased with them. I usually attach one red plus the macro filter. Find I do more video than stills when diving.
