My first digital camera was a Sony 5mpx DSC-H1 and it took good pictures. My cousin, who likes yard sales, garage sales etc. bought a nice Sony fixed lens camera for next to nothing that he took with us to Sedona as a second camera and it took great pictures. These pictures you posted look great.

Nice shots, Frank!
I have the SX50 and do like it’s articulating screen a lot. I wish some other manufacturers would adopt that way to store the screen safely away from dings and dangs.

Thank you Bill. Yup, I got lucky this time. The biggest thing I have to get used to, is keeping it under full zoom. I can't hand hold it there for a good shot. I love all the features, especialy manual, and the tilt screen. It will never replace my Nikon or cannon btw, but it is a neat camera for my collection.

Thank you Jerry. I have gotten some paper weights at yard sales and second hand stores, but over all do good. The paper weights usually happen when I can not test the camera and just take a chance, but have been lucky them sometimes.
Sedona is beautiful, no. Love that area.
