More “Duh’s” than “Wow’s” ... but slowly gaining ground. 😳 😁
Who's perfect? Reminds me of the story of the preacher asked anyone in the congregation who was perfect to stand up. One older man who had married a widow stood up.
Preacher asked, "Are you really perfect?"
"No, I'm standing up as proxy for my wife's first husband."

It’s beginning to look like that, Chuck.
Thanks,

How could I forget to focus??
I did, 7 times, with attempts of shooting a small family gathering at my home. Everyone wanted me to shoot the group with me (of course in the photo). I set up the tripod, set shutter release for 3 seconds to give me time to place myself in the photo. Each time I reviewed the photo it was terrible. Not once did I figure out that I had not focused by pushing the AEL button. (I set the camera for BBF about 2.5 years ago). DUH! DUH! DUH! So, we have no photo of the group gathering. Might not have another opportunity for years.
Anyone else have DUH! experiences similar to this one.
Life is still fun. I simply smile at myself for all my "DUH" moments.
Stay safe!

I've heard it said that what you really need is good judgment ...
Good judgment comes from experience, and ...
Experience comes from bad judgment.

Years ago, with a film camera, the film never “caught” on the reel. Had that sickening feeling on about picture no. 38 and missed a good part of my sister’s wedding.
I don't know any photographer who hasn't. My worst one was with a new camera on a paid shoot. Although I checked each photo that was displayed clearly on the screen, none were being recorded on the card that wasn't in the camera. I had to call the client for a re-shoot which I did for free.

Wow!! That one belongs in “True Confessions”.
Thanks for sharing.

How could I forget
Previous to a hiking group outing, I had been using my mirror lens, which is totally manual. (shooting moon rising the previous weekend).
After the hike, I discovered that I had forgotten to set the camera off manual when I put back my normal shooting lens).
All photos totally overexposed! ARGH!
