Very nice, they also would have been good with "normal" settings. I'd say it works well with the one exception of the forest floor in #6 which strikes me as unnaturally red.

I recently watched a Ken Rockwell video review of the Nikon Z5. He took test images with the picture controls set to Vivid, saturation at +3, in JPEG.

I took these photos yesterday at Vines Park, Georgia, with the above settings.

I used a Nikon 18-200 on a Nikon D5500.

If you don’t like the photos, please blame Ken Rockwell, lots of other people do.😊😊

how cool to get the shot of the squirrel gathering nesting materials, dean, and i love shot no 3 with the
vivid red !!

Photography is an artistic kind of art. Colors can be interpreted to one's liking. As has been said some people love to have saturated colors while others like me prefer pastel colors. I do saturate a bit periodically but that is not my rule.
To my eyes and except for the colors of the first one which are not to my liking I dare to say these images are not or do not look to my eyes as oversaturated. They look pleasant to my eyes and I find them beautiful.

Ask Ken what if after the fact you don't like the vividness or color temperature?

Ken told me that is the reason there is no comment section on his website.

He would have to say, simply go back and reshoot it.

Those are really interesting shots. I’m going to give it a try on my D500. Thanks for the idea!
