Actually it's time to see what kind of pricing direction all those equipment go. If they go down buy them, if they go up sell them.

Looks like for Sony DLSR users we need to plan upgrades - should I stay with Sony or look at Canon or Nikon? I have been on the APSC sensor for years and know that moving to full-frame was the next step, but since it meant buying all-new lenses had been dragging it out.

I don't shoot weddings (too much pressure), but general nature (birds & animals), some sports, and a little architecture/buildings/landmarks.

What would you suggest for new camera gear?

If you’re happy with your gear why let a Company dictate a complete change in systems? That’s a lot of $$$. Use and enjoy what you have. If what you have is Sony’s latest and greatest become totally proficient and be thankful for your good luck. If not the latest and greatest then continue to upgrade with Sony. Nothing wrong with buying used from reliable sellers. These cameras are designed to last a lifetime and actually many lifetimes. Best wishes.

Canon tried to send me a certified letter about coming and collecting my old DSLR equipment. I refused to sign for the notice, then sold my condo and moved to another state and didn't give the USPS a forwarding address.

Doesn't the second amendment cover DSLRs?

You could buy a Canon but then again, you would have to upgrade to Nikon.

Too late. You're in a database. You can run but not hide.

You have to use 'quote reply' so the person you are directing the question to understands.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: an old camera.

No. It's a person, who might be a photographer, with old ideas or an old mind. Maybe you've moved past 'grow up' and went directly to 'grow old.'

Cameras/lenses are tools to artists and creative types who don't like that moniker. My mind is my greatest tool to make a dream possible.

Those who don't want a mirrorless camera don't want to succeed.

Hey...why not drop $6500 on the Nikon D6?

Hysterical...

Switch to Leica. Only one incredible lens does it all.
