Constant minimum f-stop. You can increase the f-stop up to at least f22.
Sorry, but some people get confused by “constant f-stop”. A big advantage of the constant minimum f-stop is for focusing at max zoom. Focusing always uses the min f-stop regardless of what you set for the image f-stop.

I, too, bought the Tamron 150-600. Much better reviews than the Sigma. The Nikon 200-500 was not available at the time, either.

200-500mm f/5.6 Nikkor, hands down.
I used it on my D500, and got superb results; added a 1.4 Kenko T/C, and still got great results. On the crop cameras, you get the "sweet spot" in the center.
It's my go-to long lens for nature/wildlife for my D610, D750, and D810 FX SLR's.
As others have mentioned Nikkors on Nikons is always ideal. 3rd party lenses can be great, though.
I used it on my D500, and got superb results; added a 1.4 Kenko T/C, and still got great results. On the crop cameras, you get the "sweet spot" in the center.

Kind of depends on the use. Are you doing BIF, stationary wildlife, macro of flowers, portraits, weddings,.....?

I got the Sigma C 150~ 600, never had any regrets about the purchase. Use it on a D610 and Crop bodies.

I have the Tamron 150-600 G2. IQ should be about that of the Sigma Sport but not as weather proof.
