Very cool. No one really post processes the same way. I like LR for cataloging and import, Bridge and ACR or Canon DPP4 for Raw and Ps and Nik plugins.
It's not that complicated. You copy the RAW file (CTR+C in windows) then you send one of them to Topaz. Topaz returns the processed file in its original format, and you can proceed with any PP on the editor of your choice.
There is nothing wrong with a TIFF (8 or 16 bit) file, if one prefers to go that route.

I actually prefer SWAG,

I have found these programs that you mention to be somewhat faster than grass growing (in the winter) but much slower than LR. Processing in LR is the same as ACR in PS. If you are processing RAW images LR and PS are usually the most complete and fastest way to go.
The Topaz programs can do a better job than LR or PS but I use them only as needed becuz of their relatively slow as molasses process and save times.

LR is an amazingly capable program. However the absence of layers often causes a need to move to PS for a few tweaks, or sometimes many. I occasionally - rarely - use On 1 and Portrait Pro, but if you pay attention to composition and light in the original RAW photo, they're rarely needed.
I started with PS years ago, but Adobe has done very well for me, and evolving with both LR & PS, and occasionally with Illustrator and After Effects, is all I've needed.
So NO, LR is gaining value, not losing it.

Lirghtroom handles 95% of my processing and 100% of the cataloging. The rest is in Photoshop. If you learn the Adobe tools, you will have little need for other products. In the end, do the others really give you a product that you cannot get in LR/PS? The cataloging is great. I can find photos in under three seconds in LR out of 50,000 pictures.
I am sure the other products are good with friendlier user-interfaces. Want to make life easier in LR? Create your own presets. I rarely spend more than three minutes on a picture in LR and I do not need an extra DNG or TIFF to take up space and time.
Try it. Maybe you will like it.

What presets do you use that makes future searches so easy?

I have had a similar experience though I use Topaz Studio more than any of the stand-alone Topaz tools. Still, I do find LR pretty useful for a little initial editing and for sorting out the best photos from the others. It still has a lot of value for image management and, if I could get in the habit of adding good keywords, it would be helpful for finding old images.
Lightroom is VERY popular on here, and some people online in forums tend to get a little tribal about their preferences. Personally, I think you can still express your support and preference for something without becoming insulting, dismissive, and condescending.
Sadly, when shielded from natural, face-to-face human engagement, online armchair warriors often behave & speak in ways in which they would never dare in-person. If you don't like a topic, a question, a comment, or an observation, you are free to move on, or to express your own insights in a helpful way. There is no need, and no benefit to being unkind.

It is always good to have a workflow that fits you.
I don't use Topaz since I have a workflow that fits me and at my age, inertia and lack of time keeps me from trying all the new things I might want to. So I stick with my current workflow which uses predominantly LR and PS. There is also the fact that my eyes are not seeing problems in my photos that are large enough to really dig into it.
It's not a matter of whether I agree with you or not. You are welcome to stick to your system and I will probably stick with mine.

There is also cheaper or free software. Adobe can't keep up with others.
