This image is the subject of a tutorial in The Exploration of Digital Artistry forum, especially written for the growing number of users there who are learning to use Affinity Photo. Apart from it educational value, I was wondering how the image stands on its own.

I like the idea, but not this image. For me, the red leaves look out of place and have a more realistic look than the green background. On download I noticed a double right angle in the top right hand section - and now I can't unsee it.

I think the effects are interesting. The green foliage here looks to me almost like shattered glass. I think that it helps having the flowers, which are the subject, quite a bit brighter than the background. I don't know much about this program. Maybe I should educate myself. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Erich. I only began using Affinity when Adobe shut down my PS because I didn't have Windows 10, but I have found out I could reproduce almost all of the effects I could in PS, but under a different name and a different Menu structure.

How did Adobe shut you down? I am still running Windows 7 and whilst I cannot use the 2021 version, 2020 version still works fine.

Yep, amersfoort, I too learned that I still have access to PS CC 2020. I think I got wrapped around the axle when 2021 came around. Luckily, PS 2020 has all the tools I need to keep working.
