The mischievous, masked Margot seems to fit both yesterday's daily challenge in "colours of the fall" and today's masked marauder - lovely picture, but as you will see I am very biased towards our canine companions
Was doing some shopping at Costco and noted that there must have been at least two semi loads of Halloween Candy parked in one isle. In years past one of our neighbors gave the trick or treaters 1 pound hershey bars. Bus loads came each year. We had to park a car in a nearby shopping center if we needed to leave. We gave 5000 pieces of candy to the little beggars, many of whom had pillow cases. It was an obsessive demonstration of being. Most of the kids were very polite and had thought out costumes on. Some, were downright rude and demanding. When I was growing up, Halloween was a real hoot. Harmless mischief with soaped windows, and upset a few country school privies. I think it may have been a lot more fun than todays version or maybe I am just an old Grumpy Geiser. Happy Halloween everybody!
BOO TO YOU

Margot is a true Halloween afficiaonado. Here she is with her snow mask...

Good thing I went to the last page. I was going to put up some of these same exact masks, except I went to the garden in the daytime as it was $16 cheaper then!! Some of my fellow camera club members went at night though and saw their pics, so I'm not too disappointed.

Here is one I shot at night at the gardens. I thought the $16.00 was worth seeing them at night.

My Lucy has a mask too! or a semi mask - hope you will not be bored rigid with my subject matter, but my dogs are the main focus of what I shoot - I know the pictures are grainy but I had to blow them up from a fair distance. Maybe one day I will treat myself to a telephoto lens. Great scarecrows, we do not even have the equivalent to the poor country cousin here in the UK!
I must have missed something. Excuse my ignorance but what happened with Sher?
Her dad was diagnosed with cancer and they have a meeting with the Dr. today.
P5. Nan, I just crossed pumpkin pie off my thanksgiving menu. LOL
Ump, Margot is such a good sport to think up those masks.
Ham, love the stuffed people and Medicine Men. And you did scare me.
Rufe, love those colors and yes, it was worth the money.
I have a little over an hour to spend here.. so am going to look for masks or RED.

oh my, I really really hope everything turns out ok. I just lost a close uncle to cancer. He passed away last week after an eight year battle with it. He lived four years longer than the Dr. said he would. Then three weeks past the last time the Dr. said he wouldn't make it. We are having his funeral sometime this week or next week. He passed away in Arizona and are bringing him to Colorado for a service then taking him back to Arizona to be buried in the national veterans cemetary. I feel for Sher and hope this can be treated.
