Yes, and it's mirrorless.
I'll be damned sure to watch for that at Kroger - - - no, wait methinks they went belly up. Now, what do I do?
I would say that sensor technology is also important.

So yes...I feel strongly that people should buy whatever camera they want and can afford. Please just leave off the part where they feel the need to justify their purchase to me and then try to drag me al9ng.
Very well said!
Buy what you want or need then shut up and enjoy it so we can also enjoy what we want or need.
If it was so darn good, we will see it in your photos and then perhaps we would be interested to get one for ourselves. We don't need the hype nor the push. We do not need an annoying back seat driver.
The naysayers see failure in every opportunity. The successful buy a mirrorless camera.
It all depends on several factors that pertain to you. Things like your financial condition, in addition to your photographic objectives are facets of your decision process. I was in the computer business for twenty-five years and there was a point when my clients (e.g. higher education - Loyola, Tulane) could not justify the added expense of marketing's mantra "latest, greatest, blazing-fast."
Try before you buy! Don't forget... there is no magic powder, the learning curve can be steep, and while you learn the quality of your content often takes a huge hit.

I dont care if a mirror less camera will do something your current camera wont.
Isn't this the most logical reason to spend the money to upgrade a camera?
In my case yes. I shoot Canon and with the fantastic EF->RF adapter I am able to use all of my EF lenses, some that perform better than on my EF mount.
I'm buying a new cell phone and can't decide which one to buy. This sweet Motorola or this Samsung. They both make calls don't they?
I switched from film to a progression of entry level digital cameras to various cell phone cameras over the years taking mostly grandkids pics etc. When the Sony A6000 came out I fell in love with it. I wasn't looking for a camera. I just stumbled upon it at Best Buy. It fit my crippled hands perfectly. I did research. Lots of naysayers out there! But enough great press made me drop some cash and bought it. Just the pancake and the 55-210 lenses were all I had for a couple of years. Then lenses started showing up on marketplace, eBay etc. Here is one of my fav:

Most everyone here understands the simple sentiment of toy justification "I gotta' have!". <$mirk!>
Tony Northrup has a good review comparison of the Nikon 850 and the new Nikon Z7 II on YouTube. You might find that of help.
