Am going to Port Angeles, WA for a 3 day photo trip while celebrating my 59th birthday. I have many plans for pictures, but want to ask all my well traveled friends here if they have picture subject advice.

Day trip on the ferry to Victoria. Waterfront, Empress Hotel, Butchart Gardens.....
Olympic NP - Hurricane Ridge area right out of town, the views from Obstruction Point Road are great (if you are okay with some steep drop-offs, one-lane road and blind corner sections). Sol-Duc Hot Springs and short hike to Sol-Duc Falls is nearby.
Piers around Port Angeles can have interesting photo opportunities.

Most of the State Parks in the Port Angeles area have a water access. Point-No-Point is not too far from the Port Angeles area. One the world's premier birding areas! Great lighthouse, too! Can be crowded in fine weather, though.

Hoh rainforest, Sequim area, the Washington coast, the town of Port Angeles itself is picturesque.

Have a great trip!

I agree with all of the above. I was surprised how cold it was in Victoria in June when we went. We rode the double decker tour bus and they provided wool blankets for everyone. My daughter and I went ‘kayaking with the whales’ around the lighthouse point. Took a dry sac for my camera but also an inexpensive point and shoot just in case there was a lot of rain. The weather was great. Both cameras stayed dry.
Because of taxi and ferry schedules we ran out of time in the gardens.

Neah Bay is worth a little side trip. The indian reservation there has some interesting places.

Great ideas so far, thanks! I don't think I want to try going to Canada and get quarantined for two weeks, though.

You're right! Been there once, though. Intend to go back, but not sure when. Maybe...

I am not sure you can go to Victoria right now. I do agree with all the other recommended areas to visit.

San Juan islands are close. In sequim, check out the game farm (drive through with animals).

He said it all! The butchart Gardens must be seen to believed. It was the first place I got my husband to use a wheelchair (ms) and he was enthralled! We also happened to be there during the golden hours!

Canada is closed until at least mid-May.

Don't forget to stop by Portland for a visit to the city for you will have photo opportunities that one could never imagine seeing.
