While trying to learn how to avoid adding "Noise" to my images during post editing, I discovered an old friend had returned to my back yard. A female mallard laid eggs under a bush in my backyard two years ago. Last year she did not return and I thought she might be dead. Yesterday morning as I drank my coffee to get my eyes open, I looked out the kitchen window and there she was. Even the Starlings approaching her didn't bother her in the least. She looked as though she owned the place, so they left her alone. For you experts on "noise," do you see any noise on this original image without any post editing, except for adding my name and a frame?
No noise like we looked at yesterday. Overall, the image seems maybe a bit too bright, either the overall exposure or maybe the darker colors need to be be a bit more darker by moving the black slider or adding contrast or both. The pose is great.

I don't know about that. I could swear I saw "quack-quack" noise in this image.
All kidding aside, the black areas look very clean as far as noise. CHG_CANON is right that it appears to be just a slight touch on the bright side. I think a brightness adjustment would take care of it without necessarily touching the contrast, but I could be wrong.

I would use dehaze and add some vibrance and then the adjustments as the others suggested.
I do not see any. Glad she is back for you to each morning. Pretty soon you will have the kids marching around in single file most likely.

I've been watching your posts for a while. This is the cleanest image I've seen you post. Nice shot of this little girl.
Didn't hear a thing. Very, very quiet.

Dear tcthome...I hope the kids do march around in a line. More photo subjects for me to bother! Thanks for your comments.
Dear SalvageDiver...Thank you for your nice observation. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
