It too me a while to work through them and to decide which to process. Al in all it was a very productive trip around the dyke.
I was photographing a couple Green Winged Teal lovers when the Ibis flew in and surprised me. There were lots of Green Winged Teal and many many Northern Shovelers.
Then there was a Mute Swan. Not the least bothered by me. We saw 2 swans this day.
A second group of Ibis, They were enjoying a nap until I got a bit closer, then its was stretch time.
The Gadwall Duck and his lady were swimming by the four Ibis. Between the Gadwall drake and the Ibis I overlooked a shot of the Gadwall hen.
Next bird of interest that was close enough to photograph was a Snowy Egret.
These were all shot from the first leg of the 3 legs around the dyke.

Thanks Joe. That's a very kind thing to say.
Fabulous set! The Ibis is gorgeous.
Iβm also a victim of my cameras frame rate. Sifting through hundreds of photos can actually be a bit frustrating for me. But results, like these, make it worth the time.

Thanks Dave, Thanks very much.
Its the first time qi have photographed them and it was a treat.
My old camera shot at 2.5-3 fps and th3 buffer would fill up after about 5 or 6 . The 7dii is supposed to be clicking away at 10fps and with the right memory card and shooting 3-4 shot bursts the buffer almost seems limitless. Aquire shoot 3-5 images, require same subject fire another 3-5 They add up very fast doing this hoping the subject will do "that special thing"
But when the magic happens and the subject gives a special look or something its well worth looking through dozens and dozens of the same image to find a pearl.

Great shooting. Never knew those ibis' existed. I live in FL we have all different type of colors but
not yours in NJ. What camera? What lens?
I guess those new lenses in you eyes really enjoyed those glossy Ibis' in person.

PictureMate,
Thanks very much
Photographing wildlife, especially birds is always "like a box of chocolates " No telling what you might see.
The new vision is fantastic. Thanks for asking. The clean clear colors are wonderful and the better focus fantastic.
These were taken withca canon 7dii and a Sigma 120-400 DG 4-5.6 . Hand held iso 1000, f9 or f8 shutter speeds vary but all over 1/1250. Depending on the light and the bird being light or dark colored.
Thanks for asking
