Great set Bill. I don't have a best in set on this one all are good.

Jim
They are fairly common here. There is a little sewage treatment pond on the east side of of I-19 just north of the Arivaca Road exit. I had 10 of them there yesterday. Long range and I couldn't get a good shot.

Thanks Jack.
They were all fun to shoot and to process

Great set Bill, every time I make a trip to Atlantic City from Brooklyn I always spend several hours for a trip to the Forsythe refuge. At least two to three visits a year.

Thanks Elliott,
These are my first close sighting and photographs of Glossy Ibis. I had no idea how beautiful they are.

Thanks Jim,
I also appreciate Green Winged Teal. I'm hoping I can improve on those photos. They are a lovely and quick little duck.

I was having so much fun on 4/13 that I shot around 500 exposures. The advantage and curse of the new camera's frame rate.

It too me a while to work through them and to decide which to process. Al in all it was a very productive trip around the dyke.

I was photographing a couple Green Winged Teal lovers when the Ibis flew in and surprised me. There were lots of Green Winged Teal and many many Northern Shovelers.

Then there was a Mute Swan. Not the least bothered by me. We saw 2 swans this day.

A second group of Ibis, They were enjoying a nap until I got a bit closer, then its was stretch time.

The Gadwall Duck and his lady were swimming by the four Ibis. Between the Gadwall drake and the Ibis I overlooked a shot of the Gadwall hen.

Next bird of interest that was close enough to photograph was a Snowy Egret.

These were all shot from the first leg of the 3 legs around the dyke.
I was having so much fun on 4/13 that I shot aroun... (show quote)

Very nice set of images.
