Sony A7R IV vs Sony A7R IV A

I was setup to buy the Sony A7R IV in another week or so when I was reading in Camera Review that Sony is coming out with the Sony A7R IVA. What the differences between the the two is hard to findout. I called Sony
on their prefered phone number for the Sony A7R IV and they said they had no information on the New IV A.
Should I wait for the IV A. Is this a new camera or just a rom update. I would feel terrible to buy the IV when
the IV A might sell for the same price. Also this not related to the above problem but I was thinking on getting a
new lens for the camera by either selling my Bolex H16 RX-5 or offering it to the camera store when I purchased the AR7. Which is a better way to go? The Bolex has been used since 1968 but is in good shaped. I have several ideas and looking for ideas. Anyone how has a thought on this please let me know.
Thanks in advance

Waiting for a newer model will result in getting the latest and greatest, but losing out what might be a good deal on the current model it replaces.

Private sale will almost always result in more net $$$ to you than trading it in. The store will need to service it, inventory it, advertise it and sell it for a profit, sometimes cutting your $$$ by as much as 25% to 30%.

My understanding is that it is only a replacement of the rear LCD with one of about twice the resolution.

I will be selling my A7R4 toward the end of May, it has less than 2k shutter count on it, probably less than 1K, it is in mint condition and comes with original box and all.
Interesting, I know two guys who work for Sony and they know nothing about an A model. Oh well.

I have had the A7R4 for about four months, replacing the A7R2, and it is a major improvement in handling and an intelligent refinement of the design in manifold ways. I very much liked the 2, but it had some rough edges, which have all been addressed and more in the 4.

The latest version has a new 2.4MP LCD rear screen. On a personal note, I found the low res LCD a bit annoying when trying to use it for macro photography - in both low light and bright light. I would not have changed my original A7R4 for the new version, but would certainly go for the A7R4A if I was purchasing an A7R4 for the first time.

The new riv will have both a better monitor and they up graded the c usb port. That is about it. I bought the A R7 IV a few months ago and really like it. There is a bit of a learning curve if you want to take advantage of its many features, especially it's auto focus features. There is not launch date listed for the up grade, so you may need to wait a few months.

...I’ve learned from this site that when you are ready to buy the camera...buy the camera...there is always going to be the latest and the greatest...you will be waiting and still be waiting because there will always be improvements made to cameras...it’s the nature of the beast...that’s where GAS attacks come from...?

I have no idea what to sell it for. I am just floating ideas now. I have this Bolex since 1968.
I called Camera Land to today. Camera Land told me that the Sony A7r IVA does not exist.
Its just a rumor. I don't think so. But who knows. Really like the A7R IV specs. Right now
just looking into this.

I bought the A7RIV about a year ago and I've had no regrets. When you "Zoom", people will be impressed with your 61MP image, (make sure you shave), and all you have to do is hook up the USB C cord to your laptop and run the "Remote" module of the SONY imaging Edge software. I also love cranking up the ISO to 2500 and shooting in low light conditions that were never available to me in the past. I bougt the Tamron 28-75 Zoom lens and hardly ever have to take it off, (although I bought a SONY E mount adaptor for my old Olympus Zuiko OM-1 lenses which you can focus manually- now I don't have to throw them away). The movies are great, and I've run video for over an hour without significant overheating, (like the old A7R models). Finally, The battery lasts longer than the older models 2300 mAH and its nice to have two equal high capacity memory cards (you can use one for stills and one for movies, or save RAW images on one.
