What did they say when you asked them?

The other guy has very little to offer other than snarky responses . . . I am sorry.
Whenever I recommend someone think for themselves, I expect an ignorant remark. You did not disappoint.

I suggest you mind your own business since few OPs are on here looking for a life coach, and you don't seem particularly qualified anyway.
OPG is a purveyor of online photography instruction, run largely by Ian Plant, whose work is, in my opinion, exceptional. He is a frequent contributor to and blogger for Outdoor Photographer Magazine, a contributing editor to Popular Photography Magazine, a monthly columnist for Landscape Photography Magazine, and a Tamron Image Master. You can checkout his work here:
https://www.ianplant.com/indexThere are several levels of membership, some quite reasonable.
Some of their material is outstanding, some is OK and not that unusual.

Outdoor Photography Guide is one of several brands within our family of video-based websites, including Woodworkers Guild of America, PGA Digital Golf Academy, RV Repair Club, Personal Defense Network, and many others.
I'm not looking for a life coach. I was just looking for opinions on this site. Didn't think it was a major problem.

You rarely have anything much to offer beyond condescending and patronizing remarks. Your response to my comment was completely expected. A helpful, on-topic response would have been a much nicer and more productive approach. Is that something you can handle, or is it really beyond your reach to be kind and gracious and genuinely helpful?

It's only a problem for the trolls. My comment was to encourage you to research and decide for yourself if it suits you. Hopefully, you are intelligent enough to determine if it's right for you, no matter what others may pretend.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! I refer you to a thread some time back where someone said they like a plain focus screen, and you ignorantly replied that a plain screen is terrible. Pretend as you wish, you are not qualified to pass judgement on anyone.

It appears you can sign up for their 'free' newsletter', but you need to pay to sign up for actual content.

Post the link to that thread - I am certain you are embellishing the details, leaving some out, and stating what I said completely out of context. But unlike yourself, I will admit I could be wrong.
On the other hand, I stand by my comment that you rarely, if ever, have anything to offer. . .
Ball's in your court, dude.

And, I expect, able to do exactly that without officious suggestions from you!

Leitz, you have been here long enough that you ought to know that whenever you recommend independent thinking, you’re bound to bring out the trolls. And it was my statement that I prefer a plain focusing screen with no distracting focusing aids that elicited the ignorant comment from Gene51. I apologize to the OP for this hijack.
