I'm fascinated by the composition. It breaks all the rules yet grabs the eye and leads you from one element to the next until you settle on the moon. I didn't even spot the deer until I read your comments and went back to look for it. A surprise gotcha!
A beautiful image with a mysterious tension.
Aside from the deer I don't see much luck here though. I see a lot of skill.
Go with God my friend. You have a difficult row to hoe.
Thank you ALL for your very kind comments on my moon/deer photo, they are sincerely appreciated!😬

As we’ve come to know, luck often plays a part in nabbing an eye-catching picture. As terminal cancer from Agent Orange exposure now has me in hospice care, I don’t get out to enjoy my favorite pastime of photography. However, I always carry my camera in my car, and occasionally jump out for a quick grab-shot of a scene that just simply appears. This was the case with the scenic photo here, taken when I only saw a bright full moon over an old building. It was only after I got to view it on my large monitor did I discover a lone DEER skulking in the shadows! That bonus deer truly made the scene! I’d rather be lucky than good!🥴

What a beautiful photo and very lucky too! I think that happens more than most photographers will admit.
I am saddened and sorry for your illness from the war and your loss of health and life.

Wonderful photo - As a Vietnam-era Air Force vet that went to Korea 1969-70 I am truly sorry that you have the issues associated with Agent Orange - I have several friends that have dealt with this and it absolutely sucks.
You will be in my prayers.
Thanks for your service and sorry to hear of your agent orange by-product. At the time, it seemed a blessing and probably saved a lot of lives, but the longer term negatives have proven to be a bummer for far too many. One can only rejoice for the years and loved ones that may not have otherwise happened and i hope you are able.
Welcome home and God bless. 69-70, lucky so far.
Excellent photo!
I’m super appreciative of everyone’s kind comments! Thought I’d now share another one of my other favorite "grab shots" with you all. This is an image of Tionesta Creek in the Allegheny National Forest. And, amazingly enough, this photo was taken with my iPhone 11 ProMax CELL PHONE CAMERA! I just jammed on the brakes while driving thru the forest, jumped out of the car & nabbed this scene. The only editing done was a bit of vibrance color saturation, and that was IT!
Truly, the BEST camera to have with you when a photo-op avails itself, is the one you have WITH you, eh?

Ed, I followed your link to more photos. You have some fabulous shots. I’m curious as to what gear you use. I keep my camera with the 100-400 lens with me whenever I’m in the car but maybe I should be carrying the shorter and wider lens as well.
