It's great when a lot of things come together just as one actuates the shutter.

As we’ve come to know, luck often plays a part in nabbing an eye-catching picture. As terminal cancer from Agent Orange exposure now has me in hospice care, I don’t get out to enjoy my favorite pastime of photography. However, I always carry my camera in my car, and occasionally jump out for a quick grab-shot of a scene that just simply appears. This was the case with the scenic photo here, taken when I only saw a bright full moon over an old building. It was only after I got to view it on my large monitor did I discover a lone DEER skulking in the shadows! That bonus deer truly made the scene! I’d rather be lucky than good!🥴

I love your photograph even without the deer coming out in a perfect frame. The whitetail is just the icing on top. Exposure and composition are great especially with the moon light. Really well done.

I can only offer my condolences regarding the Agent Orange and hospice care. Of course Agent Orange comes from pretty much one place and at one point in time. I thank you for your service and wish you Welcome Home. I wish you well on your next journey. I suspect you will find it a beautiful experience. I hope so.

Color, lighting, subject and the near-invisible deer make this an amazing photo - and I don't often use that word to describe images I come across! Just shows that you should always have your camera with you, as you apparently do! Very fine work!
