Thanks for viewing! I used exposure at -0.3 to -0.7 depending on the overall background light. BTW, I use Nikon D850 and Nikkor 800mm lens for all the shots. Thanks again!

The wife and I were going to head there to catch the Sandhills, but things kept popping up that got in the way.
Great pic, last time we were there they were so numerous they looked like they were stumbling over each other.

More detail of setting:
use manual M and set up the speed from 3200-4000 to freeze actions, aperture at f8-f10 because of good weather. ISO auto. In order to avoid "washout" of white, exposure compensation set at -0.3 to -0.7 depending background light. Thanks!

Lovely set Richard..always makes me wonder when I see these Pelicans, they are almost identical to our Australian Pelicans but ours don't have that bulge on their beaks..
