Is Abe's of Maine a trusted supplier? Prices are pretty good.
My post from another recent thread:
Re: Abes’s of Maine.
Here’s a good sign for trouble.
While camera and lens prices may look good at Abe’s (likely grey market) look at the prices of accessories like batteries and memory cards.
Compare the difference of the ENEL 15 battery for the D750:
Abes’s of Maine is
$169.
B&H is
$54.
Abe’s doesn’t even state if theirs is a Nikon product!Edit... I had to dig for it, but Abe’s has the Nikon product for
$79.95 Regular price: $169.
Be afraid....be very afraid.

you hafta know what you are buying, my short answer to your question is "NO". As mentioned elsewhere, since Cameta in Amityville is no longer with us, there is B&H (?) ( I cannot remember their name....sigh) in NYC.
they also have a "save the sales tax gimmic" [discount] which you should look into ...... Ed
I would point out that Abe's [no longer] of Maine also sells on the Amazon platform. If you buy there you have the not insignificant benefit of Amazon's service and quality guaranty. So it may be worth it, if the product/price you want can be found on Amazon.

So does 6th Ave. and if you buy from either of them you will be getting a gray market item and Amazon will be of no help if anything goes wrong with the item and Nikon will refuse to fix it...even if you offer to pay for the repair.
Anyone selling below Nikon's price is not an authorized dealer and is selling "international versions" aka gray market.

that was what I meant when I said "KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING."
The sooner you forget about Abe the better for you. Pay a little more at B&H or Adorama and get peace of mind.

Prices are good for a reason. It is called bait and switch. Once they have you hooked, they just reel you in and then it is too late.
Please, stay away from Abe's. B&H and Adorama are honest and have prices that will not change when you order and include things that Abe's wants extra for, like a camera warranty, accessories, etc. etc. etc.
