Thank you for the beautiful reminder of what God has provided for us through the terrible sacrifice He made for us. With Resurrection Day (Easter) being celebrated this Sunday, we need to reflect on what all of this truly means to His followers. The Scriptures tell us in 1 Corinthians 15:17-22 just why the resurrection miracle is so central to Christianity:
"...if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep [died] in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ, all will be made alive."
Because Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah was resurrected, we also have that hope and promise!
As writer Max Lucado entitled one of his books, “He chose the nails.”
