Topaz has both platforms available for download.
I love software, too much really, so never really get to learn all the goodies. I have the Topaz products. I really like what gigapixel can do to astro photos. As most A.I. is developed using comparisons, i.e., feed it a lot of images at same resolution, but different sizes (more pixels but proportionally larger in size), so program learns, I was surprised it worked on astro photos, but it does for me. Texts on A.I. are full of what can go wrong, any pasture image search finding sheep because input images had sheep. A really bad one was cancer missed because all cancer input images used in development had rulers in image used to measure tumor size, no ruler, no tumor!
Maybe they used astro photos, but they are often so different I was surprised.
While not an expert, I would think most of costs in development is collecting the images. Computational costs would be next I would suspect. Most examples in text start by deresolving images to save memory, etc., not really possible I would think for this type of processing. Costs seem reasonable to me.
I have discount codes for all Topaz products. PM me if interested.
I use them almost all the time when processing my images. I do use DeNoise, I use the Al Clear tab. It works to denoise and sharpen the images.

If you search “Anthony Morganti” and go to his website, you”ll find discount coupons that can be used on top of Topaz specials. He also tests each version when released. Those reviews can be found on YouTube.

GREETINGS,
I use Topaz both as a stand alone and as a plug in. I too am disappointed that what you pay for is only good for a year. However, one of our Hedgehog members published a great work around. Once a year, Topaz offers updates at a reduced rate, like a black Friday offer. You can get updates for far less the cost of a new version. Make sure you get on their mail list where they will announce their reduced price options. Some of their products work quite well and I update them every two years. Good Luck.

Black Friday annual package update (for all eight apps in my case) was $29. Can't beat that! I believe the normal annual update is $99?

Yup works well on Mac too

That would be good to know. I just experiment with filters and find all sorts of weird effects and results.
This has been discussed before. My personal workflow involves DeNoise and Sharpen AI. I do all my processing in Photoshop.
Import RAW file from Lightroom.
DeNoise is my first step on all shots. I use manual with both DeNoise and Sharpen set at 38.
Send back to PS and process in ACR (use Auto) for a starting point and crop as necessary
Sharpen AI if necessary
Quick and easy since I'm not the perfectionist that some are. Total time <5 minutes per shot depending how fast Topaz works

Your payment gets you that program for your life time. It is only future up dates that are more than 1 year from your payment that you would pay for if you wished.
Just my input on support. I have used Adobe Elements with a half dozen Topaz add ins for a number of years. Upgrades to both products became restrictive mostly due to my “old” PC, 10+ years, but, for the most part served my purposes. I recently decided to experiment with moving to an Apple IMac platform. All that aside, the move was pretty smooth and I am going to continue with the Apple platform. Anyways, the issues I had with all my Adobe products are still waiting a response. The issues I had with Topaz apps were all worked out. A support issue entered late on Friday, was responded to and solved the following Sunday afternoon (2 days over a weekend) which impressed me.

It looks like Topaz Studio Classic is still available as a free download. I think it's still there but just harder to find - i.e. hidden (as a previous version).
It is available and I was referred to it in a Customer Service live chat. Found them to be helpful. Come to think it was email, not live chat
What can you say about FXlab and Topaz Studio, do I need any or both?

there are so many products of Topaz, can anybody have a knowledge of how and in what order they should be used starting from Raw file of Landscape, Portrait(group and individual, wildlife etc. Do you still need LR and PS?
If needed I always use the denoise first and sharpening second, everything else I do with free software. And yes, they are worth it. I took old pix that I shot on a Nikon D3300 at 6400 ISO (NOISE central), cleaned them up and reworked them, it's like a new photo. You can try them for free for a short while to decide.
