The fonts in Organizer (captions, details, file info) are so small I can barely see them. How do I increase font size in PSE 12. Not on photos, but in user interface in Organizer?

Thanks, Don

It might not be an option for the really old software. If you don't get an idea here, see if a technical support chat with Adobe on Adobe.com generates an idea / solution. Just sign-in and find the chat option via the Support section.

In Adobe Camera Raw, the font size is tiny, and near unreadable. Little balloons slowly appear to identify buttons, but they too use tiny fonts. I'd sure like to know precisely how to increase the font size for my convenience.

You are not alone. Lightroom fonts on my 27 inch iMac are basically unreadable. Every year I make a call to Adobe requesting a solution and every year they say they will look into it but nothing changes. It’s frustrating.

We are all getting older. If new glasses don't work, maybe it's time for laser surgery.

I recently purchased a Mac Mini and an LG 4K monitor. I was able to select font size during setup of the display from the OS.

I don't have a 4K monitor, only a standard one. My fonts are readable and also many controllable by Windows. I have the PC Windows fonts set to 125%. I heard that years ago that 4K would be horrible for text and applications and only good for video and images.

I use a 28" 4K monitor for everything with no difficulties. In Windows 10 its just a question of modifying font scaling either by app or for everything. In addition, newer versions of various software titles have been modified with better scaling for 4K monitors. However, a small laptop 4K screen is always going to be more of a problem as will using older software that is not scaled correctly for 4K.

First world problems that we face.
If you use a very high res monitor you may run into this issue. Some programs are written well enough to size things properly but others... well not so much. I found some "fixes" for some of software, but I literally had to reduce my 4K screen resolution to 1984 standards to use one program before I got so ticked off and finally deleted it. Even viewing picture thumbnails in Windows file explorer at "Extra large size" will fail. (Strange that Microsoft doesn't see this as a problem.)

On my 28" 4K monitor I have no problem viewing picture thumbnails in Windows file explorer at "Extra large size". What did you mean by they will fail?

When I set the screen resolution to the recommended 3840X2160, the extra large thumbnails are the same size as the large ones, just spaced out more. When I select a lower resolution, the sizes work properly. I have heard that this works for some people but I know of 4 other people who experience the same issue.

On my Windows 10 machine, at the same resolution, the extra large icons are around 3 times the size of large icons. I'm not sure why they are equal in size on your machine.

Does anybody here know of an adjustment within Photoshop to change the font size of its display characters?

Not sure exactly what issue you're having, but if you are on Windows 10, perhaps this will help.
