Ohh My is he a beauty. My favorite woodpecker of all. Female in #2 is less showy, but very nice also.

Gorgeous photos, tack sharp; no noise. I've been after a pair in my area but have not been able to get photos like yours.

Thanks...they sure are pretty birds...as long as they don't peck holes in my cedar siding...lol! I wasn't sure which one was the male...now I know.

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed these, I had fun watching them fly around for quite a while. They have been hanging around for a while now but this was the first time they came close enough for some good shots from my deck.

Thanks....they are quick buggers that's for sure! I enjoy watching them as long as they are not pecking on my house...I have had to patch a bunch of holes over the years...
