What is your question?
You must be careful with pre-Ai lenses to make sure they will properly mount to newer digital cameras. They are all "F-mount" lenses & bodies, but older lenses can have protuberances (ring lips and levers) that prevent proper mounting to some cameras. My pre-Ai lenses will not mount to my D90, but will mount on my D5000.
P.S. - By "D5700", do you mean a Nikon CoolPix 5700?
Yes, Nikonian thats the prosumer one. I should hav been more clear on question re the said lens. Namely is this lens worth adapting for modern use. It seems it has a lot of light available.
The Nikkor 50-mm f/2 should mount to your D5200. The camera's light meter, viewable through the eyepiece, should work with manually operated shutter duration, aperture, and focus.
Hmm, apparently photographers are like alcoholics; they can't quit with just one (camera).
