Does anyone know the shutter life of the camera in an iPad Pro?

I would like to use my iPad for a longish (intermittent over a 4 to 6 week period) time lapse project, but don’t want to ruin the iPad in the process.

Thanks.

I don't think the IPad has a shutter.

That would be my inexpert guess as well.

If there is no shutter, how does the camera measure the exposure time shown in the EXIF information?

Where does it show the shutter speed?

It's all electronic.

It is an electronic "rolling shutter". There are no moving parts. The ipad, iphone and most other cameras in cell phones have them.

A quick google search yields a lot of info. Here is one of the sites;

Thank you. The "highlight" dimmed it out on this monitor.

It's the exposure time and not shutter. The shutter if there is would cover the sensor but there is no such thing on the Ipad. The sensor can be reset and start capture then readout after the exposure time elapse. There is no shutter. They call it electronic shutter but the electronic shutter is no shutter (don't confuse with the electronically controlled shutter though).

It has an electronic shutter, so there is no shutter wear like in a mechanical shutter. Relax, cheers
