I have the Commlite and use it on my Sony a7rii with my Nikon lens and it works fine and AF works beautifully I even use Sigma F Mount lens and all work beautifully this is the only adapter that I have found that will work and I had tried a few.

I got the Commlite adapter, but will not AF with any Nikon/Sigma lens I tried, even a Nikon 70-300 AF-S lens. Might be a firmware thing, awaiting answer from Brian Smith website.

Just installed a new Viltrox coupler (for Nikon F) on a LUMIX G5K. ONLY works with a 50mm AF-S lens, for me. All my other Nikon glass.....an error message tells to "clean contacts". My Nikon
70-300 is an E D lens and I guess too old for a modern digital ops.Must try another AF-S lens BUT
at least I know the Viltrox works (on one lens so far).

Have sent a message to Brian Smith on his website, but no reply yet. The Commilite I have purchased, will not retain AF, even on a Nikon 70-300 AF S lens. But AF is working on some Sigma lenses. All is not lost.

Does anyone know if there is an Adapter that retains AF, using Nikon lenses on a SonyA7iii body?

Yes there are. Before I sold all my Nikon gear I tried 3 different brands but none worked consistently to my satisfaction.
Some not at all.

This was almost 3 years ago...perhaps they are better now.
