BRMBR is an 80,000 acre refuge maintained by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service about 75 miles north of me. It borders the Great Salt Lake with hiking and some boat areas. The 12 mile auto tour around the main marsh that allows view from all points of the compass is my favorite route. Now that spring is getting here, the auto tour becomes popular because the insects on the hiking trails make journeys there a bit difficult.

I went up last Monday to see what has come in. The attached set and the ones I will post as my post-processing is done show both the migrants and the residents of this area.

Nicely done Mike. Shovelers are really weird looking birds in profile.

Thanks, Carol, it is worth getting up for. I am editing my landscape shots now and the light really helps the shots.

I appreciate that, Barbara. Watch out what you ask for, I came home with over 500 shots.

I was just discussing the light with Carol, Vince. It makes getting up early almost worth it.

Thanks, Craig. Since they are from Canada, they are polite, eh?

I love their look, Jack. Almost like a cartoon character.
