MacBook Pro indicated available OS update to Big Sur. I updated. Now the 9500 MK II is not recognized as a printer. Other than scrapping the printer, anyone have the same problem and/or found a good solution?
That printer has served me well. So any ideas on how I could keep it in service would be welcomed.

Your'er not gonna like the answer, but I would check with Canon and see if they have drivers for the printer and Big Sur.
What OS were you running?
My Canon MG2120 screwed up Saturday and had to be replaced, I was using it on an iMac running OS11.2.3 and a Windows 7 machine, Well you guessed it the new printer worked on the Mac, but not on the Windows so the Old Dell El "CheapO" gets retired and I will be using a Lenovo Laptop running Win. 10 after 4 hrs of trying to get the printer to connect on Win.7 and damn I hate Win.10

You should be talking to Canon to see if there is a solution.

Go to the Canon support page for your printer and download the updated driver. They have it for MacOS 11 Big Sur.
