LSMFT which meant: Lucky Strike means fine tobacco. For whatever that's worth.
No one remembers Wings? In the PX it was the cheapest cigarettes. I can remember saving my cigarettes cupons in Libya and taking a lot oh cartons to fly up to Rome for a 3 day pass. It paid all the bills.

Nicotine is addictive, that's been proven, cigarettes don't taste good, they're addictive, they make your breath stink, your clothes smell and wreak havoc on all surfaces of your house and car. I smoked from age 16 to 21 then quit and never considered it again, that was 50 years ago for me. With all we know about tobacco, Nicotine, vaping etc., I can't understand why anyone these days would pick it up.
I guess albert Einstein was right; the only difference between intelligence and stupidity is that stupidity is unlimited.

One of the most addictive substances, period.
The late Rush Limbaugh became addicted to pain relievers, and checked himself into a treatment program. Being very open about his treatment, he told his audience that one of his counselors told them that you could give a person who never smoked a cigarette, and they would gag, cough, etc., but in a few minutes would be ready for another smoke. The addiction timing for nicotine is measured in minutes (?).
I smoked until 1978, and haven't touched any type of tobacco since. However, since I was a smoker until then (1962-1978), I still have to get periodic ultrasounds to ensure I don't develop an abdominal aneurysm. Just one of the "effects" of smoking.

I'm glad I never started. None of the kids I hung out with in high school smoked, so that helped. My father smoked most of his life, but he quit when he was about 60 and lived till he was 81. It was emphysema that got him, though.
