During an assignment in Edmonton, AB, I explored the countryside looking for photo. opp. I have never seen so many old houses and old churches preserved in one area. I never used a tripod (wish I had) as this was strictly shoot and run. I did return to this area a number of times but usually under dark and dreary winter conditions.
Thanks, great shots. I really enjoy looking at old houses especially log buildings.
Terriffic history...lost on all too many of our youth today, and sadly so! Good shots. Thanks for sharing.

Talk about "fixer uppers". Nice photos, good job. I love finding things like this in the country.

Indeed, I'm sure that many out here wish you had as well, brought and used a tripod. Nonetheless, these have their own charm as they are.
I'm just an interfering Pratt however and I will make some suggestions, subjective, purely.
If you get out this way again, then carry an 85 filter, or over-ride your WB.
Carry a polarizing also to try and bring those contributory skies out to the fore.
Keep an eye on the depth of field as well.
Composition could be better, even though cropping can work wonders sometimes - always better to get it right at the time and a tripod always helps.
PP will help get those fine details trapped as well - always worth spending a bit of time on that.
I've attached six suggestions' examples. I won't go into details because I think they are pretty obvious. The final PP will be yours of course and I'm sure you'll do wonderful things with these when you get around to it.
These shots, as you may have noticed, are my sort of photograph and you make me rather jealous with your assignment opportunities.
Have fun

But...the good news is that the youth of today will see what we see today, creating their own memories - which someone in the future will then point to and say, "Dang, shame about that Apple plant falling down from dis-repair. Glad I got a good shot on my brain-implant iphone before it completely collapsed." lol
I like your original photos better than the post processed ones. Love old buildings!
I know I am reviving an old post here, but these are wonderful finds Don! I may have to renew my passport.. :)
