'In the heat of the night everybody knows where the coolest place in town is.' From the movie. Sienna is the model. The background colors were cross processed.

Very nice shot

I agree completely with GeorgeII. Outstanding in all respects. Never seem the movie which leaves some questions unanswered. How about trying this again with a slightly different pose, similar background and no tombstone?

Sorry, I'm going to have to dissent here. I find this in poor taste. Suppose that was someone from your family in that plot.

Taken in the lighthearted spirit that I meant, I like your comment.

Thanks for commenting. I understand. The common name 'Smith' on the grave to me makes it seem less personal and more universal as was meant.

how did you get it so sharp, yet not noisy?

I don't show the unsharp and noisy stuff that abounds in my work.

Great image! I love the color palette and composition. I presume it's your head? Be well! Ed

Great answer. It reminds me of something Elmore Leonard said when asked by an interviewer why his books have such little fluff, and why people can't seem to put down his books once they start them. He replied: "Well, first I write the book. Then in the first edit, I take out everything people won't read."

Is her last name Smith by chance? I liked the pose even set in a cemetery.

I think what makes the photo -- besides a very attractive model with a great body, smooth skin, and the right attitude -- is the pose, the lighting, and the colours. The monotone of everything but the model sets her off beautifully and makes her "pop" as truly the focal point.

Just for comparison, would you care to show us the original SOOC jpeg? I think it could be educational.

Thanks for your comments. On this particular shot you would see photography and post processing weighted heavily towards post in this case (the model not so much in comparison to the bkg.). That doesn't happen all the time so it would be misleading to show this as how I work. Usually I start out by just trying to optimize my shot. But sometimes along the way I get diverted and it goes from photo to photo art. I often show my Before and Afters in the Digital Post Processing Section.

You would clearly NOT be showing before and after of this image in the PP Section due to content.

And with the disclaimer that this is NOT how you USUALLY work I don't see how giving us a before and after would be misleading.

I think the followers of this section would be interested in seeing what you started with to achieve the great final result. You don't have to reveal any of your secrets; just SOOC and the final. I don't even care what software you used. Please consider reconsidering your position.
