I have promised to “cut back” on using the Attic.” However, once in awhile...

The increase in oil/gasoline prices is directly related to the Texas freeze. The refining and transporting of oil was basically halted during this period. It is going to take SOME time to catch up.

For those wishing to blame wind and solar power for the problem, ain’t true. Think about it! Canada, Northern Europe all use plenty of each and have no problems. This was because Texas, despite being warned 10 years ago, chose not to Winterize their System. They wanted not to spend $$ on their grid to increase profits instead. This was short-sighted. Texas gets only a small percentage of power from sun/wind. The rest is fossil fuel. Though many only watch media that caters to their own beliefs, more moderate media showed pieces of gas line that had ruptured due to freezing temperatures.
Did you see how some people are being charged up to $17,000.00 for a few days of electricity? Great system the Texas Gov’t allowed their ccitizens to have. Of course, you can always fly off to Cancun if it gets too cold in Texas for you.

I am aware some will say I lie, but analytical thinking, otherwise known as logic, will support my statements.

You knew what I meant. Fuel cost to drive 1 mile. I saw no point in getting technical and going into costs per kwh and consumption of electricity per mile driven.

How is Biden responsible for the rise in gasoline prices .... you should be ashamed .... it only indicates your ignorance .... how could someone your age be so stupid .... do you have any idea as to what affects the price oil ....

What do you think are the factors that affect the price of oil if not the actions of America the leading oil producer in the world?

On January 20, one of the first things Biden did was to abolish fracking. But he did not stop with fracking. He abolished oil and gas exploration on federal lands and with the stroke of a pen, shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline, eliminating thousands of jobs and making gasoline, heating oil, aviation fuel, and hundreds of other petroleum-related products significantly more expensive, not to mention the thousands of jobs lost in those industries.

In the blink of an eye, Biden crippled the oil & gas industry and wiped away the U.S. Energy Independence we achieved under Trump. Today, March 1, 2021, average gasoline prices are at $2.89 per gallon for regular gasoline. That is an increase of $.60 per gallon since December 15, 2020….and that's all because of Biden, period.

The increase in the price per gallon of fuel in CA is not related to the freeze in TX. CA has many refineries around the southern LA area. The price started increasing in early January. It is now ~$.70 per gallon more expensive today as before JB was inaugurated.

You figure that Texas had nothing to do with it? Many real experts disagree with your diagnosis.

you do not have a clue .... the Saudis cut production ... and refineries are converting to summer needs ... there are other factors, the least of which are fracking and the KeystoneXL pipeline .... less than 30% of Keystone oil transported by the pipeline would have gone to US consumer ... If I have something better to do .... I would not waste my time at these exchanges with you ...

Outrageous? In 2012 gas was $3.80 a gallon, taking inflation into account.
