Sorry I can't stop and comment much today. Our son is now able to come home for a visit this afternoon as Covid stats have become more favorable and all have been vaccinated. He's not been home in 14 months.

Some photos from this week.

Is your lens image stabilized Pat, if so when fitting to the tripod you need to turn it off, fine work on that moon image

The Tetons are truly remarkable. And, coming in from South Yellowstone is a perfect way to get an introduction. Here is a Teton photo from a different time of year. We were lucky to have a few minutes when the wind stopped so the reflections in the water were a treat.

From a dreary day in the Fort Sumner, NM cemetery in 2019.

And do you know who killed Billy the Kid? Yup - me, Pat Garrett My husband is a history nut and, among other things, when looking for a mate wanted one named Pat so there would be a "Pat Garrett" infamous person in the family. I think I have lived up to that last part.

Billy the Kid was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett at the home of Pete Maxwell. Maxwell inherited the large house from his land baron father Lucien Maxwell, who owned the largest single tract of US land held by an individual, approximately 2000 square miles. The large house (which was not part of the larger tract further north and west), was formerly the officer's quarters of Fort Sumner.

A couple more pics from the Fort Sumner cemetery.

Ah - yes, I was a bit premature in commenting. I do have my own sheriff badge too.

Yes, Simon, thanks. I do put the stabilizer on "off" and I remove the UV filter too as I've gotten ghosty moons with it on. So my stacked shot is likely a fluke! But big thing is, I learned how to align all in photoshop and stack them.
