I am sequestered waiting for my second shot and then there is a lot of snow and ice plus cold that goes right through an old person. So to pass the time I have been going through my photos and turning them into B&W. Some worked and some didn't and I am enclosing a few that worked in my eyes. I know quality wise they my not be up to standard of some of the work I see but I have decided that some of my problems is related to eyesight---mine. Most are self explanatory but here a a few words on some. #4 We were on the outer banks freezing and looking for good subjects when I found a beer bottle.#5 Main Street of Newellton La. I had to record to include the TV arial.#6 an old cart I keep for photographic reasons only.#7 someones lawn chair that washed up under the cyprus trees on Lake Bruin La. # 8 My favorite(remember my eyes) Wild Indian Cucumber Root. a flower that starts moving when ever you get within 12 feet of it.

I like the tree the most, I enjoy converting color images to black and white, also.
There is a lot to be said about B&W. In my opinion, there are /shots that can only be at their best in B.&W. thanks for sharing these.

Please stay safe, do not put a plastic bag over your head, and stop taking black and whites
I think that these are great B&W renderings. The bench shot looks a tad over-exposed, proobably a quick fix in pp. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.
The tree is a real winner
The tree: I see a sorceress, head tilted back, scraggly hair blown upward by the wind, her single arm raised in supplication.
I like the approach of shooting items that catch your interest at a given moment in time. And, it is fun to take time and do the B & W conversions to see how images look. After a time, you begin to know just looking at the color image whether or not it also has B & W potential.

I've been an artist for 79 years so color is my thing, but these B&W are really nice. I like them all!
