I am looking for a car charger and the ones I have seen so far only have 2 pins in them where my OEM wall chargers have 4. I would assume 4 is better than 2, or is there a difference?

Depends on the purpose of the other two contacts.......

Do you mean to plug directly into the camera?

This discussion was from a couple years go.

No not to plug directly into a camera just for charging battery packs. I justg am trying to find out
what the extra 2 contacts on an OEM charger are for. Just Speculating maybe a quicker or even a better charge?

Power inverter to run your regular charger might be the least expensive and most versatile way to go.

My Canon wall charger has the 4 pins as you describe them. Never paid any attention to them. Two are rigid and marked + and -, making it pretty obvious what they are. The other two are non-rigid and will fold out of the way if a battery without the necessary slots is inserted. They are marked T and C. My guess would be that they are for the monitoring system that shows the percentage of charge with the blinking light on the charger. The in-car charger may simply do things differently. It is unlikely that the extra two contacts have anything to do with the actual charge but I would be careful that any charger you buy is a smart charger. One that either stops charging when the battery is fully charged or drops to a maintenance rate. I don't know if there are still dumb chargers on the market but there used to be some that just kept applying full charge even after the battery was full. Not good for the battery.

A simple answer is to get the RAV Power RP-BC003 Savior Series USB battery charger. I got a the dual battery Canon Lp-E6 version. It uses a USB Micro cable, I plug in to my car's USB port and it charges my batteries just fine while on on the road.
