This has been in my front right pocket everyday for the last 30 years through thick and thin. Can you name the brand?
Clue #1 It was made in Solingen Germany (as are all good knives).
Clue #2 the handle or scales are deer antler.
Clue #3 the bolsters are nickel.
Clue #4 it's a four blade known as a congress.
Clue #5 the medallion has four feet displayed, the rest of the medallion has been worn away.
Clue #6 one of the larger blades has "Tobacco Congress" inscribed.
Clue #7 The blades are stainless steel.
It has cut everything from high voltage cable to spreading peanut butter, dug splinters out and is always ready to serve. It is a faithful companion.

Great to have a trusty companion. VERY well used judging from the scales. I cheated an looked it up so I won’t give it away.

I’m pretty sure that I know, the medallion gives it away. It’s too early to weigh in with my answer and ruin the guessing.

Yup, the brand was purchased by the late Mr. Russell. Wish he could have made it work. One of the all-time great knife makers.

And your preferred method for sharpening this faithful companion? (Looking for a best choice to keep a Swiss Army knife & various other small blades functional.)

I have a diamond impregnated bar made by Klein tools. I give all four blades a few swipes every week or so. It's not real aggresive so it doesn't eat away the blade and I do not mistreat the blades so it doesn't take but a swipe or two to get it razor sharp.

The knife is a Hen & Rooster by the way.

I'm not certain but, I think a canoe knife is a two blade and a congress is a four blade...

I don't know the name, but obviously you don't need anything else in life with a knife like that
