Old Car City in White, Georgia is a junk yard featuring 30+ acres, 6+ miles of trails, and 4000ish vehicles from the 1970s going back to the 1920s.
Old Car City on film Old Car City is definitely a place of memories where you might find a car a younger you, your dad, or your grandmother once drove.
Old Car City on film Many of the cars are mossy or half-buried in pine needles and leaf litter. Some have been lifted into the air by the trees that grew beneath them. Others have roots and branches erupting out of engine compartments, trunks, and radiator grills.
Old Car City on filmIntroduced in 2000 as Canon's top-line professional 35mm film camera, the EOS 1v was Canon's final 1-series film camera and was then the most advanced EOS camera created. The camera features a 45-point auto-focus array, including 7 cross-point sensors around the center of the frame. The camera records 20 attributes of metadata for each frame, including focal length, shutterspeed, and shooting mode among the many attributes. Using a third-party tool, this EXIF data can be extracted from the EOS body and applied to the scanned JPEGs from the processed negatives.
Old Car City on filmOwner Dean Lewis clears the paths, but otherwise leaves the cars to the mercy of time and nature.

I believe it is a Pontiac in the 35 to 36 era. Not sure what model not enough of the car pictured for my old eyes. Lol

Thank you,
I couldn't make out the logo on the grill.
Thought it might be a Packard or Pontiac.
Paul does great pictures!

I got my eye on that Ford on the left in pic #1. Suspect it to be a ‘59 2 door Galaxy 500 or Fairlane.
Thank you MorrisT Dennis, Jbravi, Drbobcameraguy, Irvingite Charles, 47greyfox, Bruce! You can see the details a bit better of each image from the Flickr page, where the 'Pontiac' detail on the truck grill can be read. Some years at OCC I've spent time investigating the car brands / models. But, the 'extra for later' images on film don't get captured like the years with digital. Glad you enjoyed.
Nice interesting set and photos just excellent. That place looks like bucket list project for me. Reminds me of the TV show pickers and they would see cars like those and want to restore them.
Another beautiful set of great captures and excellent renderings. Thanks for sharing - please stay safe.
Another excellent tour, Paul. Does Old Car City charge for admission?
Thank you Sidwalkastronomy, Ourspolair, UTMike! I've now been to OCC at least four separate years. They charge one price for touring and another for taking photos. I've never been there when it was anyone other than photographers, but my trips have been from late October through early December, and sometimes I'm the only person there beyond the owner. The cars are for art, not restoration or salvage since the family junkyard closed in the 90s.
1935 Pontiac for certain, but model is not apparent.
