I'm fed up with Amazon. I had to create a new account, ok, that's generally an an easyprocces. I lost of track of how many times I tried. I'm going to call Monday and' if they horse around, they're is a very good chance that old Bob willl lose his temper. They keep telling me that my email address isn't mine. No body else doubts me.

Try Ebay, works a treat - mostly dropped the other.

? Why did you have to create a new account?
If the original one still exists, the email associated with it is probably locked to that account and cannot be used by "another" person (email already in use). Emails can usually only be used by one user.

Why not call now instead of letting it all build up in your head.
They answer the phones 24/7.

Then report the results.

Create a new email address then a new Amazon account. All online services have problems with creating a new account and using an email address that's been used before or is still being used. But you may be able to resolve it by phone.

eBay is not what it was. The new prices are usually higher than Amazon, and they have far less used than in the past.

Your email problem. This is why I have kept the same email address from Verizon to Frontier to Spectrum, at two homes in to counties. I did not want to have to change email with everyone.

My wife and I have both had problems with our accounts, especially when we moved and mostly problems with our banking and email with them. Usually everything works out fine with an actual live phone call. Though, occasionally with banking an additional signed paper form.

Call Amazon. We have always gotten what we wanted from them. PayPal and eBay as well. Fighting with AI or a Computer is futile.

This could be for very innocent reasons. There my be a typographical error or something a little more sinister as a browser hijacker. In any of these cases, you must speak with a human being. Don’t lose you temper it is not worth it.
After being on disability for three months I went back to work a month ago. I have been marked AWOL. Obviously an oversight, but I miss the paychecks to buy more gear. You need to speak to a human bean and not an answering machine.

I've had some limited - but excellent - dealings with Amazon, and any problems were always ironed out immediately I have, however, had the experience with getting an account started at other places where you literally keep putting in the exact same information only to be told that it doesn't match. This has, sometimes, wasted an hour or so.

I have been thinking, you say you "had to create a new account" - does that mean you already have at least one Amazon account? And if so did you use that e-mail address for it? If so it says it isn't your e-mail because there is already an account using it. To have another account it has to have a different e-mail.

I had the same thing with Adobe - I have the old LR 6 standalone on a laptop and the CC Photographers bundle on my desktop. The laptop kept changing LR 6 to the CC version when updates came along. A tech worked with me and found that because I used the same e-mail for both accounts their servers automatically sent the latest CC updates to both. He helped me separate the two accounts by changing the e-mail on the LR 6 account. In my case through various things I have 5 active e-mail accounts and a 6th one with the school district's server but I haven't touched it since I retired in 2007 so I assume that one has been deleted or something.

I have had my Amazon account since the sold only books. I had, and may still have, an associate's account. A friend and I put up a website and raised money for a local orphanage.

I have had a very few issues over all these years. Every one was resolved with one phone call. It was usually a shipper's error, but Amazon always took care of it.

Since B&H started using FedEx I now get most of my photo gear from (not through) Amazon.

Interesting.
I get 99.5+% of my stuff from B&H. Never had a problem with shipping.
