OK...Here's what I did :-D Erv was kind and generous enough to send me the prettiest, fluffiest collection of milkweed seed all the way from Ohio, and I've had the best time spreading those things out on our patio table and shooting them from every angle possible. The other day I got the bright idea to try shooting them using a Lensbaby plastic optic. So... this is the sort of thing you get when you mix a nut who has a long way to go learning how to use a Lensbaby and milkweed seed :-D And by the way, I didn't arrange these seeds. They arranged themselves, and I thought the results were rather neat :-D So...the credit all goes to Erv!

I don't think all the credit should go to Erv. I think you deserve a little for thinking about using the lensbaby.

Hello my friend,
Im not sure what you've done but it looks like a small Scotty type dog to me on a slow exposure.
Nice shot, a little ghostly.

Well thanks, CM, but you can see just how awful I am with that lens :-)

Just look at this thread a little ways up, Ferenco, and you'll see how I accomplished (if you can call it that) this photo. Thanks!

Looks like the ghost of a cute little white dog I've seen here before.
I thought it was a little ghosty too, Babushka :-)

You have produced one of those 'classic'LY memorable images. I still have an image in my head being bounced around by my dendrites and they don't want to qieten down just yet. See, you've created a joyous moment in time. That's what photography is all about as well, that kind of creative image that journies through the centuries and inspires in some at least, further functional creativity.
As I often advise, never throw away those oddities, they may surprise you, pop up and hit you in the brain.

My immediate thought was Milkweed seeds, but saw so many pages I was going to see it anyone else guessed it first. I have been having fun following milkweed pods this fall so it wasn't hard to see!!
Must have been a good year for milkweed, Wahawk. Glad you enjoyed this post :-)
