Taken during a National Parks tour in 2010.
Love this shot! Now you need to find a decent clouded sky image to replace all that blue.

Cloudy skies are not always easy to find in Arizona !
Very pretty. Beautiful colors.
Great picture, Northern Arizona is a landscape photographer's paradise! I have an old photo somewhere from about 20 years ago of Sedona/Oak Creek area after a slight coating of snow. The bluffs were enclosed in clouds and the wet red rock was so vivid it was amazing!
Thank you Dixiegirl.
Paul, would love to see your photo if you can locate it.

I live in Phoenix and I think I have a shot of the same formation. Yes it's beautiful in Northern Arizona, except for the rock formations, very much like the mid west... same trees, same weather... beautiful up there. Thanks for posting.

Photo wise Phoenix isn't all that beautiful - just desert and cactus. But, when we drive north, say 100 miles or so to the Sedona area, or the Canyon, yes, it's very beautiful.
I've included a shot I took at a place called Slide Rock Park, perhaps you visited there.

We were with a tour group. Flew into Phoenix and went north to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park. Also saw Montezuma's Castle. Unfortunately, we did not see Sliding Rock.
Thanks for posting the picture. It makes me want to revisit the area. ;-)

Been to Montezuma's castle, an interesting place, the Canyon of course, Sedona, haven't seen Bryce Canyon yet but perhaps one day.
Come on out, glad to have you any time.
