My name is Bill and I live in the Atlanta Metro area. I’ve been avidly reading the UHH photography discussion for over a year now and thought it’s well past time to introduce myself. Many years ago, my Dad taught me the fundamentals of photography on his Leica IIIc and I had a B&W darkroom in the basement. I started to get interested in digital photography about 15 years ago and am a novice when it comes to post processing (but I’m learning fast). I shoot Nikon, and I’m interested mostly in travel photography (I’m an international airline pilot). Reading through the various threads on the UHH website, I’m humbled by the wide range and depth of knowledge represented in the membership and I'm delighted to be a part of such an esteemed group of enthusiasts. I also get a big kick out your sense of humor! I’ve attached a few of my shots…
Welcometo the forum.
(Love the third shot.)

Glad you chimed in! Better now than ever! LOL
Welcome!
Love the shots. Very nice indeed.
I was a Licensed Private Pilot. My younger brother was a CFI. He had many ratings, from Mult. Eng.,to float
planes. I think the only rating he did not have was a jet rating. He passed away at a young age several years
back. He was a local Corp. Pilot and flew a Areostar, Cessna 182RG. for that company. He and I built a Ultra Light
Aircraft by Pioneer called a "Flight Star". I learned to fly in a Cessna 172 737JJ. Enough of me!!!
(Could talk airplanes all night)
There is lots of very accomplished photographers here. Lots of highly skilled armatures and many Pros. here as

Welcome. As a pilot you have should have a great variety of places to shoot.
Welcome to the HOG. Will be looking forward to seeing your work from around the globe. For those of us who are unable to travel much, it is appreciated... Love your shots #3 is my favorite but I would crop it to 16X9 and cut some of that sky. It is an awesome shot...
