I really don't know where to begin! I have emailed back & forth to Skylum 18 times over the last week! TERRIBLE Company!
I purchased Luminar Ai license for two computers! I have a MackBook Pro & a iMac Pro! I have downloaded simultaneously
to both computers! Works fine on the iMac! BUT the Mack Book pro, it does not work like it does on the iMac.
I cannot have an edited photo in Lightroom sent to Ai to edit! It shows the plugin in Photoshop & LR are selected.
When I go to Preferences in LR Luminar Ai is not there! Both computers are exactly alike. Every attempt to follow 18 different solutions they send me from 18 different support people do not work. I finally had to remove the program because it started crashing! Oh by the way, this has happened on two other programs I tried to get working on my MacBook Pro. I have no problem with any software I install from other companies. Hate to say it, Skylum Support is TERRIBLE! I have asked numerous times to send the problem to their engineers or to take control of my screen. Their answer, We can't do that! BEWARE OF SKYLUM SOFTWARE! Thanks for listening! A pissed off Skylum Customer!

Since it works on one computer, might check with Apple to see if similar problems occur with other software, something different between two in a setting somewhere? Never owned Macs so just a suggestion. Also, if you already had Luminar on the computer, remove it, erase all empty subdirectories and reinstall. I upgraded an Astro program, Maxim, but nothing I did would allow me to install the license, nothing suggested by support helped (highly reputable company). I had to erase an empty subdirectory (no hidden files) to get everything to work.
You should be able to right click on the photo in LR and go to export to Luminar Ai with LR edits. You will get the apply box in the upper right side when done and it should return to LR.

I have Luminar 4 and now that Photoshop has sky replacement, find no use for it.

The OP got 18 emails from them, so it would seem you can get ahold of them. And I have it and have never had a problem. So, I recommend them.
I have also always received good support from Skylum, although there is occassionally a 1-2 day delay.

Not trying to be rude, but what does your comment have to do with anything related to the OP?
. No need to be snarky.. I was mentioning a similar product that worked well for me. Read the OP comment, they are talking about AI. (google AI if you need to).

Soda..........
... I am sorry, but I am confused
The "OP", in the second paragraph talked about "Luminar AI"
My Opening line to the 'OP' I said: "Similar Situation for Me.."
The "OP" was discussing problems with support and 18 emails about: "from 18 different support people do not work ..." He... (Alex the "OP") is talking about AI, the developing program...
In my response to Alex, I am talking about the 'poor' response from Skylum regarding support
I am NOT trying to 'snarky' but, yes, I was to the point...
Yes, my response was long but, I want to be sure that the "OP" had a good background of me, my involvement in photography, the use of programs,,, and the fact that I did my homework before I got a refund...
In closing... I am not sure I understand your 'confusion' but, I would explain further if I understood the confusion... . I might be able to help.
Cheers

WOW! So sorry to hear of your personal problems with software Alex. I’ve had nothing but a wonderfully fast, inexpensive, efficient, and more noteworthy, great processing from both AI & L4 on all my Mac computers. I much prefer doing a wedding with a 1000 photos on Luminar than my Adobe LR, et al.
Hopefully you can get a refund...
Cheers!

I'm with you -- PS LR and Topaz. I bought Luminar 4 for the sky replacement feature, then PS came out with their sky replacement, only better.
...and now that Adobe has caught up with sky replacement, all we Adobe-based deniers of Luminar are hushed once again...I just love it!

Yes, me too, only the exact reverse...
. . .and that my friend is exactly why I asked for a refund of the Ai. It took six weeks of persistence and nagging, but I finally got it. What a screwed up company.
Already did that! Did it first!
