flying the flag in front of your house.
No, it does not necessarily mean the person who lives there is a gun owner. It also does not not necessarily mean the persons who live there are patriotic. I fly my flag on every federal holiday and do own a gun (a 1920 model Winchester 22cal rifle). Am I patriotic? Yes I am, and I am very pleased with the results of the last election.

American flag in the front yard means guns inside...
It's a quote from a TV show or movie. I saw it but don't remember which show but I remember wondering how true it was. I guess the op is just trying to get a consensus.
I fly the flag on certain holidays and sometimes leave it up as long as there is good weather. I have two guns inside so I guess it would be true for me at certain times of the year.
I never put the two together but I do and I am. Interesting question.
I wonder the % of veterans that are gun owners vs non vets with guns.
I'm a vet
Sadly, some carried the U.S. flag onto the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Are you serious? If so......
I fly several American flags all around my property. I also fly an Italian flag. Iβm a proud disabled American πΊπΈ veteran and presently do not own any firearms. I believe itβs all about pride in our American values and way of life all of which we seem to be losing very quickly in our country.

I do and I'm
When I see an American flag being flown in front of someone's home, my first thought is not about guns, religion, or political affiliation, it makes me think the homeowner is a veteran. While I know that is not the only reason for flying the flag, it is what is what comes to mind when I see it.

Totally agree. Mine flies 24/7 with a night spotlight. Only comes down in storms.
Don't specifically associate the flag with gun ownership but, that being said, everyone in my family down to a 12 year old granddaughter shoots and ow guns. We are all trained and licensed. We shoot for sport (granddaughter is a champion 44H trained shooter), training and hunting as well as potential self-defense.
I know i will get some "self ritchous (Sp) responses and politically correct crap. I could care less. You live your life, I'll live mine. End of rant.

Well said ππ»ππ»
I keep a flag in my front window to honor those who have served our country, to express my love and loyalty to our country. I am not always proud of what we Americans do in the world, but I believe we are lucky and blessed to live here. My father was a WWII vet who served in Italy, North Africa under Patton, Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He had a purple heart for his physical injuries, nothing for the horrors he experienced.

I fly it on special days - Memorial Day, Veteranβs Day, July 4th, etc. and I ALWAYS take it down at sunset and NEVER fly it in the rain. It has everything to do with love of country and remembrance of those that wore the uniform and nothing to do with political causes or guns.
ππππππ well said !!

In my liberal neighborhood that still has BLM signs up it is a sign of America first.
You will never see an American flag flying on a house that has a BLM sign in their yard.

I fly both; be careful of generalities.
