Are there any older manual Fuji lenses that fit new X-Mount bodies without using an adapter?
I have searched here and other forums and haven't found this information. Thanks in advance for help given. I am wondering if older manual Fujinon lenses can be mounted directly on a newer X-mount body without using an adapter. I have an X-T2 and X-Pro 2 and would like to use older Fuji lenses if possible. If it is possible, what is the mount called that I would be looking for?
The current mirrorless cameras you mention have a lens mount flange to focal plane distance of 17.7 mm. (the distance between the lens mount and sensor)
The older film camera bayonet version distance was 43.5mm, so you'll absolutely need an adapter to extend the lens out that extra 25.8 mm to get it to focus to infinity and closer. The older screw mount m-42 lenses were even more, about 45mm.
At least with an adapter, there will be no glass to degrade the image.
Thanks. I assumed there would be an adapter but hadn't found one. This is what I need.
