What a jerk. Haven't seen any reports of the the biden administration paying for the retraining of these laid off workers.
And the oil workers would probably have to take a wage reduction of roughly 50% to get jobs in the solar energy assembly industry. They also would be forced to relocate themselves and their families. Isn't China a major solar panel producer. That's along way to go. But don't blame kerry for not knowing that, since he has never had an honest job in the US job market. His military service was not industry---it was shameless politicking. He is so out of touch with reality and the country's working class that it is laughable---if it weren't so sad.
I remember when the Democrats supported American labor.

I remember when Republicans supported Democracy. I also remember when Republicans supported American labor, but that was a long, long, time ago in a galaxy far away. They support only the wealthy now.

That's a long commute to China everyday....transportation costs will eat up all those Chinese wages...
It's going to be a long time before the oil workers have to worry about making solar panels.
BTW how are the coal miners making out that trump said he would look after?
Wood, Dung, Coal, Pich, Oil, are energy sources. History, progress, thru technology and science has discarded and will suppress the need of some eventually all of those.
Oil and Coal were kings, now what? Solar, wind, and save Thorium-Molten/Salt nuclear will be the future sources of energy. Electric cars will eliminate eventually the need for gasoline, certainly in the next 10 years greatly reduce it. Times change and people must adapt. We do not use coal to heat our homes not cook with as did my grandparents. Do you still use coal? Do you try to find the car that gets the poorest gas mileage to support oil? I think the answer will be NO!

We might be able to add tidal power to the aforementioned.

So do I. I also remember when democrats did and when they were the party that worked more for people's welfare. Those days are looooong gone but members of each party still cling to the past.

It's obvious you have reverted back to "Dung"! Have you ever wondered where the electricity comes from for electric cars, trains and AOC's airplanes?
Most solar panels come at a high cost in materials (silver) and are energy intensive in production and emissions. They can last up to 20 years but use hazardous materials such as lead which eventually ends up in landfills. It can take up to 20 years before they end up paying for themselves. Put the last two lines together, last about the 20 years, and take about 20 years to pay for themselves, duh.
But it makes us feel good about saving the planet all because of the big lie and the big hoax about man made climate change.
